Leaf : Thick dark green leaves with an irregular maple-leaf gold-yellow two-tone (viridescent) centre. It has the classic architectural, cascading habit of the montana group

Comments : A spectacular plant and well named. The medio-variegated two-tone centre certainly stands out and, combined with its wonderful habit, easily makes this one of my top 50 hostas. On the downside, I find that it can be a little slow to get started when first planted and the wonderful colours will turn into plain old green by mid-summer, unless the plant is well shaded.
