Leaf : Has a majestic upright form. Wavy dark green leaves with cream/yellow margins are held horizontally.
Parentage : u/k but almost certainly a sport of H. fluctuans
Originator : Watanabe/AHS
Registered : 1996, but introduced in Japan in the 1970s
Comments : Named after the town in N. Honshu where it was first discovered. Emerges early in Spring. It was the AHS winner in 2000 and has consistently appeared high up the popularity list ever since. Elegant and graceful, this stunning plant (or one or more of its sports) is an absolute must for any hosta collection.
